hahaha.. you want to talk about vibration?? :) ive got my entire exhaust
bolted directly to the underside of my GLi.
want to feel some vibration? go for a ride with me!

Story:
I was in a pinch; my car was not running right at all. The cat had broken up
from the inside and all the pieces has filled up and clogged my muffler and
resonator. I had not the money to take it to an exhaust shop and i drove
(putt.. putt..putt.) over to a friends place who works on air cooled vw's.
He put the car up in the air, took off the exhaust, hollowed out the cat,
cleaned out the resonator, and cut a flap in the muffler, peeled it open and
pulled about a coffee cans' worth of cat pieces out of it. Then he welded
the whole thing back together and welded and re-inforced the brackets on the
ehaust becuase one had broke and one was cracked, unfortunately, we had
nothing to put between the exhaust and the body to dampen vibration, so he
just bolted the exhaust strait to the bottom of the car.

the vibration isnt so bad except around 1500 rpm and then at 3200-3300 rpm
you cant even hear the stereo its so loud in the car. Crusing though town
its quiet, so its not that bad. i plan on getting it done RIGHT eventually,
for now. its been like this for so long i dont even hear or feel it anymore.
