hey all, i have had some interesting experiances latly and want to see if any one else can explain them.
it started before i got the car, it burns a liter/quart of oil per tank of gas. it was very visable from the tailpipe, i thought the rings were gone. after 3 yrs it was time for an e-test, so i talked to a local tuner about replacing the block, he suggested that i disconect the crank breather/recirulater hose from between the air box and the block and replace it with a filter after this, just as he said, no smoke from the tailpipe, still uses same amount of oil, just no smoke and passed the test he said it is a 16v design problem, even after spending over $5000 on his 2035cc 179whp engine it still had this problem, so what gives? how could vw let this happen with the emission requirments? this has confused me greatly jeremy 89 jetta trophy 16v __________________________________________________________________ The NEW Netscape 7.0 browser is now available.
