All GLi's have 16V Engines, 8?-89 came with a 1.8L 16V and the 90-92 came with a 2.0L 16V
I looked at a GLI before that wasn't a 16v. I believe it was an 86. Can anyone else confirm that not all GLIs are 16v's? I think they started with the 16v engine in 87.
