Literally 80% of the problems with my car have been based in the belts area
of the engine. Removing my A/C made my car break a lot less.
You need to remove your A/C, alternator, power steering brackets and to
inspect everything. Chances are, you either have loose bolts, broken bolts,
missing bolts, and/or broken brackets. I've gone through this crap a bunch
of times. You should also upgrade to the 1.8 16V a/c bracket. Save yourself
a lot of possible headaches, like your water pump bolts breaking off into the
block. Fun stuff.
