Tried to send this once, but I think it failed, so sorry if there's a
duplicate posting...

My 89 GLI has refused to start for a week now. It cranks fine, but
there is no firing. Today I finally pulled the plugs, and they were
very wet. I left them out for an hour to try to dry the cylinders, then
put in new plugs, which it needed anyway. The starting situation did
not improve.

This is frustrating. I had $1k of work done to the car at the beginning
of November, which included fixing the ECU ground and cleaning up the
vacuum hose mess the PO left. The car ran great after that, and started
up every time on the first crank. Then, suddenly, this happens.

I suspect a leaking injector(s). Any other ideas?

Laters,
