You can use a passat 16v tranny, or a G60 one, but I'm
not sure a VR6 tranny will work.  You'll definately
have to switch flywheels and clutch setups.  You'll
also have to go to the hydraulic clutch setup and
replace the pedal cluster and whole gearbox to install
the cable shifter.  That's a whole lotta work for a
really crappy shifting tranny.

Stick in the 020 family.  Much easier, cheaper and
better.  Throw in an FF tranny, they're a wide ratio
020.
