[a2-16v-list] tranny question cont...

Hi all, 
 Well I'm back on getting this tranny out atleast temporarily. 
 I have been under all around back,top and bottom. Looks like every bolt is out 
but..
It only seems to separate about a 16th of an inch. I see this much space all 
around but that's about as far as it will move. Even the hidden bolts that you 
see only after you drop it down are out. I'm stumped??  Do I need to beat on it 
with a rubber mallet?
