Hmmm, I think what you have circled there, that's just where the end of one of the starter bolts goes. The top & longest of the three goes right through the starter, transmission case, then through that eyelet on the engine block, and ends up in that nut welded to the other side of the engine mount. Only the nut is threaded.


In that case, the engine itself isn't bolted to the mount? The only bolt to the mount is one long one through the transmission/starter/engine combo? So whenenver I remove the starter I am also freeing the engine from that mount? The only A2 mounts I've ever dealt with before were the hydraulic ones, so the rubber barrel one is new to me.
