As I was checking my front right tire pressure tonight I noticed black
grease on the wheel. You know what that means, I get underneath and find a
pinhole size leak in one of the joints of the outer CV boot. I look, and the
inner boot doesn't appear to be in that great of shape. So I could buy a
inner and outer boot kit, replace them both. I've done this before, it takes
a fair amount of time, and is very messy. Or buy a new/rebuilt axle and just
bolt it on. The axle on the car is original AFAIK. I guess I know my
options, I'm just wanting someone to tell me to buy the axle so I don't have
to do the rebuild. I'm afraid my duct tape patch won't hold for long.
