Ron/Jack Thanks very much for the info- I think the special tool might even keep my hands a bit cleaner (rather than loosening up the bottom of the carrier like you mentioned). John Lagnese mentioned that he has the Harbor Freight tool and it works perfectly. I think it will be worth the $80 or so for this job (otherwise, I'd still have to get the bearing pressed out/in which would probably cost more than its worth, and take up much more of my time).
