Hey Guys, I'm having some probs with my 91 Passat 16V. Well here's the prob.... I just reinstalled the downpipe and manifold (the manifold was cracked and I had to replace the studs that hold the downpipe to the manifold) and the car runs like a bag of crap. It idles at 750rpm and it feels like its running on 2 cylinders, it has the "putt-putt" sound and the engine is moving quite a bit at idle. The intake boots are in good condition, no rips. It doesn't accelerate at all. I haven't timed the engine yet or set the fuel mixture.
I know that the motor mounts need to be replaced. I can't figure it out. Thanks, Mark Reda.
