Interesting, I did not know Bosch made them...much less as original
equipment for VW.

My '87 and '84 GTI's as well as my brothers '86 GTI and '91 GLI all came
from the factory with Boge's (non-gas). We have always used Boge turbo gas
as a replacement.

Don't kill yourself looking, but I would def be interested in a VW and/or
Bosch part number on those if you ever run across the receipts.

ill have to comb though some of my reciepts to find a part number. I had a
vw shop do the work. If you want bosch stock replacments, they are usually
(granted, not always) rebuilt for cars parts those ages. Instead of getting
rebuilt parts, they had ordered some other bosch suspention kit that is
basically a refined version of what came stock on the cars. The shocks
looked visually about the same /w the exception that there was no mistake
that they were never in a car before (new), but the springs are shaped a
little different, though, both have bosch stickers on them. Mechanics didnt
like my 16" tires too much and recommended that suspention saying that it
would smooth out the ride and the noise from the road. They were right.

Ill see what i can do about getting some part numbers for you.
