The rain and the hurricanes finally died down so i went ahead and washed my
car. It's been months since its had a good bath and afterwards it looked too
good not to take a picture. Thought i'd share it with you all. :)
in '02 i sold my 89 GLi for $2600 and bought this one for $2200, put about
$1800 worth of work into it, and havent had a hiccup since.
car is great inside and out, previous owner tried to do some stereo stuff
and ate up the carpet a bit, but other than that, car acts like its 1/2 as
old as it is.
heres what its got. Mostly stock, but a touch here and there. 2.0L 16V
CISE-Motronic engin, AC Removed & AC Rad removed, Cut Out Airbox, Stock
exhaust header - Straight Exhaust (Cat removed), Stock transmission, New
Upgraded BOSCH Struts & Shocks / Neuspeed front and rear swaybars, 16" TSW
wheels /w 16" Kumho Ecsta tires, PIAA Fog Lights and wolfsburg logos
replaced by orage lit sidemarkers
planning on upgrading to dual round eurospec headlamps and an upper strut
tie bar early next year.. - but nothing else changed on the engine. (it runs
great, why mess with a good thing)
