I'm still here, though I haven't posted to the list in quite a while.
Still have the '88 GLI, which pushed over 200K miles a few months ago.
Still runs like a scalded dog, too. Sold off my '91 Jetta GTX a while
back, replaced it with a Mk1 Scirocco, and subsequently replaced that
with an Audi 4000 Quattro, which I rallycross with and use as my winter
car. I also added a '92 Jetta Carat to the stable that my girlfriend
uses as a daily driver. Of course all three of them are tastefully
modified. No plans on leaving the VW/Audi family at the moment, and I
don't think I'll ever get rid of my GLI.

91 GTI 16V w/169K, daily driver, looks good, runs great. Finished the
9.4" to 10.1" front brake upgrade. Working on the F/R brake balance
(too much front right now). Just installed a MissingLinkZ shift upgrade
kit this weekend (recommended). Enough work put in over the years to
make it reliable, still learning, still buying parts for upgrades.
