Just like Oleg said, it is pretty straightforward with those directions. Just did this on my dad's car a couple months ago. The rear clips are hard to install, I ended up spreading them slightly so they would be easier to install and snap into place. Be sure to replace any foam seals/doors that have deteriorated while you are in there, you don't want to do this job twice.

Subject: [a2-16v-list] 1991 GLI Heater Core replacement
Date: Fri, 6 Jan 2006 08:36:57 -0500

Sorry for the repost but I seem to remember someone on the list posting step
by step directions (or close to it) on replacing the heater core in their
A2. I saved the post on my computer thinking I would need it some day but
my computer crashed and that section wasn't backed up so no longer have it.
Well, the heater core is gone and needs to be replaced so any help would be
appreciated. If you have done it before, is the Bentley straight forward or
are there any tricks to watch out for?

Yes I know this item was a recall but since it lasted for 184K miles, I
don't think I could go to them and ask them to replace it.

Thanks,

Eric

1991 Jetta GLI
