Most CF hoods I've seen are fiberglass with a CF top sheeot for looks. "for what it would cost to make my car perform like a top performing modern car, it would probably be cheaper to buy the new car."
Exactly the reason I bought an R32.. VAST difference in performance potential and comfort at the same time. Its no lightweight even though I dropped weight though...haven't had it on the scales with an empty tank and cleaned out interior yet...but I did run on Sunday with a full tank of gas and a ton of stuff in the car- in 84 degrees- 13.3@104mph w/ AC on Ran 13.1 2 weeks ago on my snow rims & tires, much cooler night.. going to run the tank low and clean out the car for Friday when the high temp is only forcasted to be 51.. should hit 12's.
