Yes, I am still here, my web site is alive and kicking and I still have my Bone Stock '87 GTI 16V. Every once in a while I take it out early on a Sunday morning for a little exercise before the coffee drinking, cell phone using, distracted idiots get on the road.

Back in 2012 when my GTI 16V turned 25 years old, it qualified for entry into the largest Antique Automobile event in the USA held each fall in Hershey Pennsylvania. I decided WTH and entered it and took it to the show. I was amazed at how many people stopped to chat about GTI 16Vs they had owned back in the day. It was easy to tell a former owner. When they saw my GTI 16V they got this Big Ass grin on their face that would not go away for a couple minutes. I also spoke with a number of former VW Salespeople and VW Techs who shared their memories of wrenching on the GTI 16V.

This Fall I hope to take my GTI 16V to Hershey once again. So, if anyone from the list happens to be in the Hershey, PA area on Saturday, October 11th LMK via email here on the list.

I also would like to thank Chad for keeping the list going.

Charlie

Is Charlie Russo on this list?

Just wanted to say thanks for keeping the unofficial 16v website running for almost 20 years now.

And thanks to Chad for keeping this list going.
