Hi Steve,

the problem is still the same, but the error message shows the first point of
the way that is causing trouble, so you
have to check the lines file and the overlays file.
The problem may also be caused by option merge-lines . I am working on a fix
for this.

now the error has been made worse

severe <mapbuilder> : non-routreable way with routeable type 09 starting at
http://openstreetmap.org /?mlat=-40.83663&mlong145.13416&zoom=17 is used for a
routable map this leads to routing areas

any ideas on what to try and change in my point script file ?stephen

Hi Stephen,

your style assigns type 0x09 to a way without also adding one of the road_class
or road_speed values.
This is known to cause routing problems and therefor mkgmap r2573 and newer
print a warning.

The resulting map should be the same as before.
With --check-styles (after the --style-file option) you will get more details.

non-routeable way with routeable way type 0x09 is used for a routeable map .
this leads to routing errors . try --check-stylesto check the style .

Hi Stephen,

I have no idea what "garmin 08 and 09 error" means. Please give more details:
What is the last mkgmap version that works?
Where do you see the error?
