This will help mappers to fill in those unknown and remote territories and it will help stranded travellers to look for a settlement on the map although the name is not mapped on OSM yet, you can expect at least some 'civilization'. If you travel there, you can see at least there is a town, only the local name is not been mapped yet. It appears in the search as 'unknown' or 'place' but it will not make the index crash does it? > Which sense would it make to have cities without name? > Ok, you see there is a city, but you don't know which one > and you cannot search for them.
