This will help mappers to fill in those unknown and remote territories and it

I don't see that argument there, only that you cannot change that by
editing the TYP file.
If you travel there, you can see at least there is a town, only the local name
is not been mapped yet.

last year, but don't remember details anymore.
Yip, I can remember that too. You do need to give a name to a city poi -
or make it a POI using a different hexcode outside of the city search..

Which sense would it make to have cities without name?
Ok, you see there is a city, but you don't know which one
and you cannot search for them. And it will fill up the search
list with "Noname" entries (or whatever else default name your
device will use).
