Hi Muralito,

I am not aware of problems with the information in LocatorConfig.xml. My
understanding is that this changes rather seldom.
Do you think about additional code in the methods which compute the bounds
file? This is typically the only situation where mkgmap "sees"
complete boundaries.

Gerd

Hi Gerd,

It was a draft that shouldn't had left my computer. :-(
Sorry.

Anyway, shouldn't the information be verified for inconsistencies between OSM's
driving_side tag and the file LocatorConfig.xml?

M.

Hi muralito,

not sure what you mean by that. What I wanted to say is that you need a working
location hook which requires the bounds.zip to be able to use the information
in LocatorConfig.xml which finally contains the information about
lefthand/righthand traffic for all countries.

Hi Nick,

the sea and bounds options are problem cases as they require further files.
Since drive-on=detect depends on the bounds this is even more complex.

Great idea

I think a sea option particularly in the UK, Greece etc would be useful

Possibly drive left/right ?
