Subject: [TSA] The Greatest Transformation
This is one of the greatest transformations a husband can experience. Changing
from a Husband to a Father.
My wife got the call today a little after noon. We have been placed for
adoption! Four years of waiting and suddenly, BAM!
The little girl who is going to be our daughter was born Dec 28th, and we
should be picking her up sometime next week. The next few days will be a mad
scramble to buy all of the things we're going to need (car seats, changing
table, crib, diapers, clothes, bottles, formula, etc...). My wife and I will
also be having a big talk tonight once she gets home to decide what we're going
to do going forward with everything.
One thing this does mean is that my participation in the fandom is going to
take a big back seat for a while. I'll try to come online to chat on the
weekends, and I do hope to still attend Furnal Equinox and Anthrocon, but as of
now my attendance at either is provisional. Also, my writing is going to be
downgraded in priority, but I also hope to keep it up.
Keep my family in your prayers. We're going to need it as we enter this
amazing new chapter in our lives.
