I concur with Ryx in this regard. Same sex relationships are not new to Metamor given the vagaries of the Curse. That wasn't really the issue with your first stories anyway.

If Metamor Keep is getting more exposure, we do not want it to be X rated exposure. Such exposure reflects badly on Metamor Keep and all we have worked to build.

May He bless you and keep you in His grace and love,

Charles Matthias

Don't have any tetch whatsoever about the intimate proclivities of any character in Metamor... I play merry havoc with them on a regular basis (Malger Sutt most notably - gives not a whit about the gender of those he bedded before he was married. Sir Egland and Intoran. Others). Don't care, roll with it.

Just keep the clothes on and the unclothed bits 'off screen' as much as possible. Unless I'm mistaken Mathias has come the absolute closest to an on-screen love scene and it lasted a sum of two sentences. That's the way Metamor grew, and grows, and should stay that way as much as possible.

I would rather not have to put any more emphasis on the matter.

I totally understand your point and I've always try to make sure the story itself can survive being translated into a "TV version."

But since, for a few people, the mere appearance of a homosexual before the curse was laid upon him made Wheeler's story too adult for MK, I've decided to ignore all this concern. You'll recall, once finished and satisfied with my version of the story, I would work on a cannon version story.

In this case, I will have to wait 6 months.

Explicitness, you might recall also, does not always equal smut. I've written smut, too, so I know. In this case, I am playing with the TG curse on a hardened soldier, but it's only one pivotal scene. I could have written it less explicitly (I will, in fact, rewrite it less so later, barring another episode of an extended stay of hiding beneath my bed), but I wanted the impact of how the counter curse could be used.

Not looking to change MK into anything but what it is. And, if you have any stats or articles about people discovering Fifty Shades of Grey and then making their way into Twilight I would serious love to see those, because I am a curious pony.

Anyway, I guess this is a good time to announce that The Good Sport, also a MK story with same sex attraction and blood and death, will be in An Anthropomorphic Century this fall/winter. MK survived when that came out; it will survive this story.

I would beg to disagree, as I do each time the subject comes up. I'm one to write a good bit of smut - it moves, people read it - but Metamor does not need that aspect in any association that the public will come across. Adult Fur Fiction can be found in countless locations and I would rather this setting not be among them. Putting it forward in a public venue like a convention as a part of the official material or secondary examples in panels will paint the wrong picture to those who may have never heard of MK. Just like the bubble-head who wrote the Shades of Gray series first as a fanfic of the cancerous Twilight tripe - she simply changed the names and went with it. If you really want to bring MK into an adult venue - please change the name of the setting.

This is my voice of contention and does not represent anyone else in the setting, though I suspect Mathias may agree with my stance.

Official stories are PG, otherwise its for everyone at every level. We have this conversation every few years. Metamor Keep is above all else inclusive... As long as no one beats C at pool, we are good.

'Very adult'? Care to explain?
Metamor Keep is PG-13, not R, not X. It's intended for all readers of all ages. Please keep that in mind.

I have a very adult Metamor Keep story coming out in the Rain Furrest collection this year...

I'm hoping that will make some noise.
