Don't know about "modern" software, but last night I ran a Python script on every story that had that mysterious question mark and sent the resulting files to Vineyard for checking. When he updates them, they should have those symbols replaced with the correct ones. I'll do another check afterwards to make sure I got them all. - Rimme
