I already tried with that, but the problem with this file is that it is
already 16:9 with black bars. It is your failed output, but I need an input
file. You can create a shorter version from the real input by simply
truncating a copy of it, perhaps by using dd. Maybe your source is actually
16:9 with black bars as well.

Yeah, I already noticed it is recent and has libavcodec integration. Should
work. You could download Shotcut and use the Shotcut/Shotcut.app/melt that
comes with it, if you want to quickly try a different build that I also
have (and tested with).
