Carl, I just discovered that your sample DV file is PAL, not NTSC.
Therefore, force_aspect_ratio=@64/45

(from melt -query profile=dv_pal_wide)

Now, I guess you should use melt -profile dv_pal_wide when processing these
instead of dv_ntsc_wide.
