Yes, I can release a new version soon.
I do not know about that bug. Maybe it existed and was fixed, but I do not
recall at the moment. Harald is a Kdenlive developer (or just power user?)
and knows more about the state of things as integrated into Kdenlive.
Harald or other Kdenlive folk, do you recall a time period in this year
when people were reporting crashes when using track filters?
