Not a developer , but probably a power user.
Alas, I've searched the bug reports on bugs.kde.org without any real hit. As
Debian Jessie was released in 2015-04 I presume that it shipped with Kdenlive
0.9.x and MLT 0.9.x; this also fits in with I was told on other bug reports.
The bug report mentioned below references recent Kdenlive 16.04.2, but I cannot
find a matching report on bugs.kde.org. Seems we haven't seen it there, unless
is used some other title not including the keyword track.
The crash as reported happens in filter_avcolour_space.c, while MLT tries to
fetch a frame image ahead; at least that's my limited understanding. At the
moment I don't see how this should be related to track-wise effects in
Kdenlive. Could this be a more general problems with the particular library
setup on Debian?
Best regards ,Harald

Yes, I can release a new version soon.
I do not know about that bug. Maybe it existed and was fixed, but I do not
recall at the moment. Harald is a Kdenlive developer (or just power user?) and
knows more about the state of things as integrated into Kdenlive. Harald or
other Kdenlive folk, do you recall a time period in this year when people were
reporting crashes when using track filters?

Kdenlive track effects do work, as I've just done two or three projects using
them, both audio (volume) as well as video effects, crop/pan in particular.
Make sure to be on recent git master Kdenlive (stable sufficies) and proper git
master MLT, which is stable.

Betreff: [Mlt-devel] Next mlt release
Hello,
are there plans when the next mlt version may release?
I would be happy to release with something newer than 6.2.0 with the
upcoming Deb Stretch release (which freezes in the "next" time [0]) :)
Btw could you have a look at this bug?: [1]
