I would suggest you get a more recent version. Linux changes very rapidly, 
and you have a better chance of having all the drivers for your hardware 
if you do.

Usually one would work the other way round - use Linux's LILO or GRUB 
boot-loaders and set them up to boot Win2000. Linux recognises Windows 
partitions but not the other way round. Having said that, maybe it's 
possible to use Windows' boot.ini file to load Linux. Of course, you should 
always ensure that you have a bootable floppy for both Windows and Linux just 
in case.
