Hehehehe!!! I assure you I have a much thicker skin than that Keith. I *was*
pissed off at that kind of criticism, but I have yet to encounter anything
that will make me lose heart.

The reason is very simple really - I'm up to my ears in work in recent times
and haven't had the time to contribute as much as I used to. As most of you
know I'm a software developer and recently the government has embarked on a
major e-government project where, essentially, all departments and ministries
have been asked to web-enable themselves by yesterday - which means I'm
working on projects all of which have a very tight deadline. To make things
more interesting I'm rehearsing for Moulin Rouge next Apr-May, so I have very
little time left to myself.

PS: Although none of the e-government projects are Linux-based, I can
personally claim responsibility for the fact that there is ONE project which
is completely written in Java and is database-independent, so it can be
switched over to a purely non-MS platform in, say, 1 hour.

As regards the activity in this mailing list, the website and the MLUG in
general, that doesn't depend only on me, guys. Anybody can write articles for
the website - just send them to me and I'll place them on the site. Another
thing that can be done to generate interest in Linux is to work through the
media, such as the computers supplements that come with many newspapers, or
the various programs about computers on TV stations.

In fact, for some time now I've been thinking that the MLUG should get a bit
more formal. So far the group has consisted only of this mailing list. There
is no actual committee or anything to organise activities, PR and so on.
Maybe this should be our first step. What do you think?
