Instructions to unsubscribe from this list at the end of the message - --------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi,
has anyone on the list got practical experience in setting up FireWire support for Linux, especially getting video from a DV camera and setting up a FireWire network between two machines? I am currently setting up a Linux Beowulf cluster and am going through different options of how to connect the machines together. Beowulf is an open source system that enables clusters of Linux computers to be clustered together to get supercomputer-like performance. Google, btw, runs on three such replicated clusters of around 5,000 Linux machines each. (For more info on Beowulf goto http://www.beowulf-underground.org.)
