Hello Adrian,
Don`t know a lot of unix courses around by private companies
... some of them gives you only the basics... but I think the university
of malta are good... check out
http://www.um.edu.mt/shortcourses/muscourses.html#introunix
although the best training is to experiment yourself but mixing both types
would help :)
websites: use google to search for linux howtos
(www.linuxdocs.org is a very good linux help site)
Regards,
AiR.
PS: are you sure u want to start with suse ? (I would go for redhat to start
obv they
have alot in common but as a start Redhat (7.3 is the best) gives you more
friendliness..
After version 7.3 redhat started to act more Mandrake like which added alot
of user
friendliness which reduces the *nix fun [Just my opinion])
PS2: Never tried suse so I can be wrong hehe

Subject: [LINUX.ORG.MT] Linux Training
Dear Friends,
I'm new to this forum and new to Linux.
This summer I would like to learn and start exploring the vast world of
Linux.
The version I intend to start on is SUSE since the organisation I work for
uses it for some specific functions like Firewall.
I would like to know if it is possibile to get professional Linux training
in Malta ? and if so, where ?
Alternativly maybe you can suggest some books or web sites that can guide me
through some training sessions.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards
Adrian Camilleri
