Dear list, There is a vacancy in the company where I work for a software wizz and I figured this list might be one of the best places to look... (hope noone minds).
Infratec Pro in Malta, a subsidiary of Infratec AG in Germany manufactures electronic equipment for KVM routers, Remote Monitoring Sytems over IP, Power Management over IP etc... (www.infratec-plus.de) Our products are fully designed by our development teams in Malta and Germany and manufactured at the production plant in Malta. Since these products are required to run endlessly in sometimes remote locations, stability is essential and therefore many involve embedded Linux kernels running on SoC (system on chip) microprocessors. We have our own in-house developed industrial PC which is at the core of many of our products and this runs Linux. We need a software developer to join our team in Malta, with a good/very good knowledge of Linux who will develop the software for our systems and also in some cases write (or learn how to write) simple device drivers for (mostly PCI) peripherals. Knowledge of HTML (and preferably PHP) is also essential since our end-user interfaces are all web based. Knowledge of C is an asset. A degree in IT is not essential... we are just looking for someone with *skill* behind a keyboard.
