I've just downloaded and compiled kernel-2.6.9-gentoo-r1 on my gentoo box. I added nvidia to the list of modules to autoload and added an entry to grub and booted in my new kernel. Nvidia is not working, so I did emerge nvidia-kernel nvidia-glx and followed instructions on the gentoo nvidia how to (http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/nvidia-guide.xml). When I try modprobe nvidia, I get the following: FATAL: Error inserting nvidia (/lib/modules/2.6.9-gentoo-r1/video/nvidia.ko): Unknow symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg). Dmesg says: nvidia: Unknown symbol __VMALLOC_RESERVE If I use my previous kernel (2.6.8-gentoo-r10) everything works fine. Any ideas?
