add this lines into /etc/apt/sourses.list and run apt-get update deb http://mirror.linux.org.mt/mirror/debian sarge main contrib deb http://mirror.linux.org.mt/mirror/debian testing main contrib I've made some testing on index files and here are some statistics for Debian: Compared with: ftp.uni-koeln.de and ftp.de.debian.org (same result) sarge main binary i386 mirror outdated packages: 862 testing main binary i386 mirrir outdated packages: 11318 This is only index files, no checks if indexed file actually exist on the mirror (such problem was with old mirror) Gregory
