I'm using the X keyboard mappings, and that's not working. Thinkpad Buttons (tpb) reads the kernel scan codes directly and it's not detecting them either - though I think that's because it's not designed to detect those functions (they're not listed in the config file).
I tried showkey. The FN key gives a scan code of 143 whereas the F3 key gives a code of 61. However, pressing them together shows nothing. On the other hand, for the Play key (which works), pressing DOWN shows code 108 but pressing FN+DOWN shows 164. I just don't understand how some stuff is working and some stuff isn't.
