My understanding is that we have at least two target audiences -
Students (uni) and Joe User. We have a solution for both of them each
customized to their individual use case. That is the nice thing about
a Linux distribution - the choice is yours.

I guess good contenders would be Mono Live and Ubuntu. They are not
fundamentally different systems, but its always good to dumb things
down for the first baby steps until someone feels comfortable with the
new system.
