You know me jean, didn't mind using the command line 3 years ago when we were at 6th form let alone now..
I'm not sure about this...ubuntu makes you kinda lazy in a way i guess.. M Jean : Arch Linux ftw! Well, I wouldn't give it to noobs, but as you're not a noob, I'd definitely suggest it to you. It's usable (well, otherwise I wouldn't be typing this), and there are no such things as feature freeze, it's a rolling release. Some things haven't updated yet, like KDE 4, but it's a piece of cake to compile it as a package. Customisable? You just have to edit 1 file. Wiki's excellent, community is excellent. Packages are quite fine too. There isn't a synaptic like utility though..but controlling it from the command line shouldn't be a problem. Oh,and suspend and hibernate work.. They never did in Ubuntu. Plus, the good things of Ubuntu, like the patches they add to cairo for better font rendering, are also easily obtainable. Sorry for the offtopicness, though.
