My personal experience with Mac OS X 10.5.5 (darwin 9.5) and Ubuntu 8.04 
(note, previous version) on the same hardware is that OSX is more stable.
One thing I hate is that on Linux, firefox would use all your memory and 
cache, if you kept it open for a while, and make your system unusable. The 
only way to free memory properly is to reboot. (sounds familiar? ;)
