We will soon be gearing up to collect data in the CLDR Survey
Tool. <http://unicode.org/cldr/apps/survey?_=mt> - this affects a
lot of open source, and some closed source, data. (the data itself
is all open). Perhaps it would be useful to set up a single page
with translation opportunities, and try to do some sort of concerted
solicitation for volunteers. I have been trying to get involvement
from the academic/linguistic community as well, might be able to
cross-promote among the [kelmet] list and wikipedia folks.
I would be glad to host a list of translation opportunities, or
link to a linux specific page of them.
