Many thanks for info. Ramon  but with my system System, Synaptic didn't 
remove _all_ the Kernels hiding away, wish it had. I believe Ubuntu 9-04 
can do this, but I haven't tried it yet!
Anyway with Gnome-Commander it doesn't take a minute. (remember Norton 
Commander of the DOS days? He! He!)
