It's still early, I've just finished installing and updating. I'm using the debian edition, a rolling release based on debian testing. Looks good so far. Not a trace of Unity anywhere :)
Still got a lot of setting up to do, but thanks to LVM I still have the old filesystems and I can gradually switch everything over.
