Good morning Warren, thank you for your interest.
We are a small intergovernmental organization, with 12 staff members. Currently we have a Windows SBS 2008 server, used for Exchange and file server, with desktops/laptops clients running Windows XP/ Vista/ 7. There are running costs and maintenance costs for this server that we would like to reduce, and this is the reason why we are considering migrating. We would need assistance for the migration and afterwards for the maintenance of the domain, together with the maintenance of the Windows clients. Calls would mostly be on hardware issues, e.g. connection to printers. Software features support, e.g. how to do a mail-merge in Microsoft Word, is excluded from the assistance we are after. As for the level of maturity of users, we have all types, from those ready to embrace new technologies (a minority), to those who are reluctant to change (to put it mildly). As for me, I have intensively used computers since the late 80's, and have been using Linux since 1995. However, I am not a bona fide IT professional. If you are interested in discussing the matter further, I suggest we meet. You can contact me at my business email: [email protected], phone number is 21 337 296/7/8. Looking forward to hear from you.
