Methinks that LAMP will be turning into LAPP if this deal goes through. It depends. There was a time when Oracle was talking about building their own Linux distro (well, re-branding RHEL) so that they could sell database appliances. Will they scrap that in favour of an Oracle/Sun appliance? I don't see much incentive in them investing in Linux now.
