I boycott Apple things. They pollute, with serious toxins. How many of you
will send your toy in to Apple to have them change the battery for you,
especially since you have to PAY for sending it to them and back to you?
Most of those Apple toys will end up as land-fill fodder.
Calling the i-phone "the best phone" is totally ridiculous. What is a phone?
An instrument to *speak to another person*. A phone is not; a calculator, a
camera, a memopad, an agenda, a music player, a radio, a television or a book.
I always laugh when I buy a new cell-phone and the clerk points out that it
has a ##megapixel camera. I reach behind my back and place my D2x on the
counter and ask them; "why should I care?". Besides, then I'd have to explain
to that person that no matter how many Mp the 'camera' has, the sensor is so
small that the image will be horrendously noisy no matter what! Speaking of
cameras, none of the professional dSLRs have video mode, they are CAMERAS, not
videocams...
Convergence has limits, this you find out when you have a television set that
has VCR integrated, when one fails, you're left without both.
I want my phone to be just that, a phone. I want my camera to be a camera and
my computers to be computers and not have any integrated DRM which is another
way of controlling who, what, when and where YOU can do this or that. I also
want to be able to replace the battery of my little thinghies myself, not have
to mail it in and wait for a week or two to have it returned to me… Imagine if
your camera was like that. . .

André.

p.s.: Anybody able to see moving pictures on www.tou.tv or is it just me?
