Hi,

Maybe you have other software like GLPI or OCS to manage your 
infrastructure...
In GLPI you have the possibility to have a knowledge base, the 
possibility to stock doc in or out the kb,
to have some doc in kb to know what to do at 3 am.
the inventory in  OCS is directly import in GLPI with the item you would 
like to see...
maybe with a wiki you can stock a lot of thing but with OCS and GLPI you 
have good beginning to make things better
