If you use debian, how does it compare against Ubuntu, and Fedora

What about all the codecs for Debian, Is there a problem with

Final question, Is there a standard E-Book format. I looked at
Kindle, Sony, and a few other products, but have no clue about the
document standards, if any.
If you have E-book experience, can you tell me if you can highlight,
or put multiple searchable bookmarks against the document?
I use both Debian and Ubuntu (mainly Debian, but I have 1 laptop with
Ubuntu). Debian and Ubuntu are basically pretty much the same, Ubuntu's
app tree source is taken from Debian, although they do some
modifications for the sake of convenience and auto-configuration (many
things tend to work pretty much out of the box on Ubuntu compared to
Debian).
As for e-Book readers, I've had a few (Libre, Sony eReader, and an
older model I forgot the name). Most tend to read at least the
"standard" epub format as well as PDF's (including encrypted/DRM'd PDF
files, but you have to sync those encrypted files from either OSX or
Windows using Adobe Digital Editions).
Currently we have 2 Sony eReaders (PRS-505 and the Daily Edition) and I
really like them both.
