Ah, the plot thickens. I destroyed my OS by trying to remove an ADSL connection bug (couldn't connect consistently, tried to reboot/reconfigure all hardware external to the machine, etc.).
Still looking for an Ubuntu install disk or other Linux version; any recent version will do. Anyone? Thanks!
