I started with Fedora 6, and have been a follower for all the updates. I also have Debian, Ubuntu, Lint and Centos as partitions distributed across two computers. If I boot one system, I stay with it for a day. Actually, Fedora is 3 days per week and the others one day per week.
yum is similar to apt-get sudo yum update or sudo yum install.
