I believe the error code says PPP could not authenticate. If you use the
Windows PPP then the modem has to be in bridge mode. I do not know how to set
the Gnet modem in bridge mode but maybe there is a manual floating on the net.
And I do not recommend deleting the ppp interface of the modem.

One alternative is to use the ppp settings of the Gnet modem itself and set
your credentials there. This used to work.

My 3web provider also requests the modem in bridge mode (it is) and I have the
credentials set in the router. Then I simply hook the machines to the router.

Last thing popping my mind: make sure the modem is set with the right VCI/VPI
given by your provider.

Regards,
a.
